Hello, all!
I was wondering if I could replace the GeForce MX440 [$] that is in my
machine now with an ATI 9800 [$] Pro. I noticed that newer HP MCE's
were coming with the ATI Radeon 9200, so I am hopeful.
My main goal is to have improved 3D graphics and dual monitor support.
I would like to view the Media Center on my desktop LCD and through a
HDTV with a VGA input. The ATI 9800 [$] seems to outperform the
GeForce 5700 for about the same price.
I have read about some people trying to install the All-in-Wonder 9XXX
cards, and all the headache that is involved with that upgrade, and
am trying to avoid any hassle.
My machine is a stock HP 854n with the exception of the upgrade to
MCE2004.
I had previously tried to replace the card with a GeForce 4200Ti that
I had, but ran into the MPEG decoder (or something like that)
problem.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!
