First thing you might want to do is to turn of the feature that causes the
system to reboot whenever a system error occurs. To do this, in the
Explorer shell right click on My Computer and select Properties. Go to the
Advanced tab and click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery.
Under System Failure remove the check from Automatically Restart and
OK/Apply your way out.
To find out what is causing the crash, a couple of places to look. First is
to check the Application and System logs in Event Viewer. Event Viewer is
available in the Control Panel under Administrative Tools. Check for Error
events that correspond to the time of the reboot. You might also want to
check the eshell.crash file to see if there is any relevant info in there as
well. I suspect this is an OS crash so not sure you'll find anything
relevant in the eshell.crash file but it doesn't hurt to look.
Post back with anything you find if you need help deciphering what you see.
