You haven't given us much information about your equipment to work with so
my response will be very generic.
You need to be sure by reviewing the users manual for your projector that
the resolution that you are trying to send to it through your VGA connector
is one of the resolutions that it will accept thrugh its component
connectors. I suspect that it may only be capable of accepting HDTV
resolutions and that you are sending it a common PC resolution. For example
it will accept 720p which is (1280x720/60hz) and you are sending
1280x768/xhz.
