Phil,
No personal attack is meant.
You have told us several times that release is immenent. I know the
decision is not yours, but could you please just discuss the real reason for
the delay? There is a credibility gap with ATI wrt these drivers and it's
easy to fix just by a credible explanation.
I mean, is this release really worth waiting for? Or should all interested
parties seek other tuner solutions?
Even if the drivers are not "supported" and people might use different CPUs
than "required" why not let them decide for themselves if it's good enough?
If not, and they can prove they are an AIW 9x00 owner, offer to sell them an
eHome card for $30 just for sticking with ATI for so long.
I know that because a Chevette sucks doesn't necessarily mean a Tahoe sucks,
but a person dissatisfied by one Chevy is less likely to buy ANY Chevy next
time. The treatment users perceive they are getting over the MCE-AIW issue
is already affecting purchasing decisions and will probably continue to do
so for some time. How many sales are you willing to lose over what should
have been a trivial issue?
What's the big secret?
And who at ATI keeps sending me different builds of the drivers? I'm half
afraid they contain some sort of malicious trojan.
