There is an error in the IE6, which manifests itself as follows. The IE does not go on the web-page, whose address is pasted in the address window of the IE. A second window of IE appears, and this second window is not filled and is not closed. The situation can be subdued only through the Task Manager and End Process. But the first IE window opens normally. And transition to another web-page through a link (not through pasting in the address window of IE) happens normally.
This state arises after installing update KB958215, which is required after my system restoration by the Windows XP's repair. Automatic Updates has been set up to 'Notify me but don't automatically download or install them'. It was proposed to install about 30 updates. The installation of all updates except KB958215 was made without any adverse effects. But installation the KB958215 gave the described above error.
How to get out of the situation, so you can transfer the system to the 'Automatic (Recommended)' for Automatic Updates?
