Re: OE6 - - problem printing multiple pages per ***

I'd very much doubt it myself, even though you're only seeing this behavior when printing from OE and IE.

Is IE configured as your default browser? Are you sure you're not running IE7? If not, was IE7 ever installed?

Is the HP printer configured as the default for all printing (vs, e.g., the Office print engine)? Is the printer on a network? Have you contacted HP Support about this?

By any chance have you installed one or more driver updates offered by Windows Update?

How do I fix IE6 and its printing?

Try printing from IE and see if that works. If it doesn't , then you have
to fix that before OE will print okay.

Thank you for the SUPER FAST, reply, Bruce. :o)

Margins: 0.75 all around (they are).

In addition . . .

Size: Letter (8.5 x 11 in.)

Source: Auto

Header and Footers
- Header: &w&bPage &p of &P
- Footer: &u&b&d

Orientation: Portrait

Any other thoughts?

Outlook Express uses the same print engine as Internet Explorer. Check
the margin settings there.

IE | File | Page Setup. Default setting is 0.75, (19mm), all around.

Today, I opened an email in Outlook Express and wanted to print 2 Pages
per ***. Unfortunately, it did not work properly, it printed less
than complete lines and generated 10+ pages and not one page was
complete. All sentences were fragmented and there are several
additional characters at the top that were never present in the past.
I rebooted and tried other emails, the problem was the same.

Under the Printing Preferences, there exists an option to print
'Multiple Pages per ***' which used to work fine. I have not tried
printing multiple pages per *** for several weeks, if not months.

I uninstalled the HP drivers, deleted all references to the specific
printer in my Registry, downloaded the latest driver from HP, and,
following the HP installation instructions to the letter, I reinstalled
the software. The problem remains. I went thru the uninstall /
reinstall process four (4) times and the problem still remains.

NON-Outlook Express documents, text documents printed from applications
like NOTEPAD, for example, print 2 Pages per *** (or more) without
any problem(s). Same holds true for Microsoft Word and Excel, Lotus123
and web browsers, including Firefox 3.0.4 and Opera 9.62 - - I do not
use Internet Explorer for anything other than Microsoft Windows
Updates.

I checked the Mail Rules, and both panes are empty.

In the box, About Outlook Express, my version is 6.00.2900.2180
(xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) and there are 20 files listed in the
integral window (which, I suspect are files that reflect various
updates or hotfixes).

I am running Windows XP SP2 with all currently available MS Updates and
or HotFixes.

Having never uninstalled / reinstalled Outlook Express, I would prefer
not if at all possible.
