Re: Address book not visible

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

There's an important space between "wab" and the slash:

Start | Run | (type or copy/paste) wab /a | [OK]

The command should open the default Address Book; cf. http://www.insideoe.com/files/wab.htm

Ron,
Not sure what you mean by "Start, Run, etc."
Sorry but I am not a "computer geek". Did you mean to hit the START button
on the bottom left of the screen and then select "Run" and then type "wab/a"
in the command line?? If so; I tried that and got an error message that
says "Windows could not find that file". I have to leave for several hours
but when I return I will check for a reply from you.
Many thanks for your response!!

PA Bear,
I only have about 20 people in my Address Book so this is not the problem.
Do you have any other suggestions??
Thanks!

If Address Book contains 1,000 or more contacts, it will appear blank to
you. It's a longstanding bug and will never be fixed.

When I attempt to display my AB, the list is empty (also the Contacts
pane)
but when I try to add someone to my AB; I get a message that says this
contact is already in my AB. So I must still have an address Book but
I
can't seem to display it or use it to help me address emails. I am
running
XP Home with SP2 and I think I am using IE version 7. I only have
about
20
contacts at present so I shouldn't have a problem with too many
contacts.

Any suggestions??
