Re: email with sound in the background

Could be either on the sender's end or your end.
The sender needs to use HTML format and you must not have set Tools,
Options, Read, Read all messages in plain text (For a quick workaround
for the current message, press ALT+Shift+H)
From there, things get a bit more complicated.
Take a look at the message source (Ctrl-F3) and see if there are any
attached sound files.

Do you see a WAV, MID or MP3 sound file?
What mail program did the sender use? In the message source look for an
X-mailer or User-agent header.
Look in the HTML code for a tag referencing the sound file. What does
it say?

When someone sends me an email with sound in the background, I don't
get the
sound -- I don't even see any indication that there is supposed to be
sound -- why is that?
