reply the day after or so due to the amount of travelling I have to do due
to my working life, and I am thereby out of touch with my computer in those

To give you the info you require:
Folders.dbx is 454 KB
Inbox.dbx 21,874 KB
Sent Items.dbx 324 KB
Deleted Items.dbx 137 KB
There are no files found with the (1).
But there is a file there called POP3uidl and I don't know what it is. Position wise it should be on my created local folders on the left pane of Inbox, but it does not show there and neither had I created it.

Also In Local Folders at Inbox I have right at the top Inbox where there is only one introductory msg from Microsoft, then right below it are Sent Items and Deleted items and there is nothing much in them. Going further down I have these same folders again under Hotmail where all my stuff is.


If Hotmail is the only folder you use, I don't know why the Inbox under Local Folders is so big. The folders under Hotmail would be the one in question. In OE which Inbox is slow?

POP3uidl is used by OE to keep track of what messages it has already downloaded from any POP3 account. But I assume your Hotmail account is an HTTP account.
