If it always remains as the same identity, it appears the issue is with Picasa.
Is it possible that Picasa upon installation found the default email client and main identity at the time then used that from that point forward..
Two suggestions if resetting the current identity in XP/OE as default doesn't function especially since Picasa only has an option for an email client rather than a specific identity within an email client.
- remove Picasa, change the current identity in OE to be the main and/or default identity, reinstall Picasa
- look in the registry for Picasa settings for default email identity

Its the original Identity...the first one I used...that is used by Picasa...whereas I'm using the Current Identity.
No I've never deleted an Identity.

Try running OE and log on to the Identity from which you wish to send
the pictures. Then send them and see if that works.

I have three identities...all mine..in date order....First, Second

Current....as the folders become bloated I move to successive

I don't use the first two except for reference now and again.
I use Picasa for organising and sending digital pics. When I send
pics to friends directly from Picasa using Outlook Express as
default email program find that the message and attachments do not
show in the Outbox and Sent folder of the Current Identity but do
show up in one of the other Identities
Now, next question, how to prevent this happening ?...how to ensure
Picasa
uses Current Identity?
