IMAP connection to Exchange not seeing Godaddy Cert.

to make a long story short, we installed a new Exchange 2007 server 2
months ago.

Our email admin (a stupid Mac guy that was using communigate) decided
to purchase and use a Godaddy cert for our Exchange server.

Godaddy certs are NOT in the Trusted Root Servers list in Windows.

Outlook clients work great after installing Godaddy's root cert in the
trusted root servers list in windows.

OE clients do NOT.

OE clients throw up the following error, TWICE:

The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that
could not be verified.

A certificate chain was processed, but terminated in a root
certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.

Do you want to continue using this server?

============

Click YES allows the mail to work.

I've installed the certs everywhere i can think of.

Why does OE not recognize the godaddy root cert that i've installed
(straight from Godaddy's page) but Outlook does?

What can i do to work around this problem and get rid of the error
messages?
