Outlook Express will not start up. Keep getting message "Outlook
express
has
encountered a problem and needs to close"
Error report opens with the following :-

AppName: msimn.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: msls31.dll
ModVer: 3.10.349.0 Offset: 0000db94

Need I add an EMail answer is not practicable under this situation.
Booted up this morning OE back on, no doubt later it will fail this has
been
the pattern for the last fortnight

Following is the advice from the other posting :-This is really a
question for an Outlook Express newsgroup. You
might try downloading & re-installing Internet Explorer - AFAIK,
it includes OE.

Are you suggesting that this is the only answer? If so what are the
implications for existing data, address book, folders etc?

Regards JohnT

Steve was referring to your post in OE General, which /is/ an Outlook
Express newsgroup. You got two replies, neither of which implied that you
should reinstall IE6/OE6.

You probably only have to delete Folders.dbx to resolve the issue. Please
check out and reply to that post.

How do I get to the OE General, news group from here? I am going round in circles.
Failing that, bearing in mind, I am not CPU Literate, how does one find and
then delete Folders.dbx.
I do have EMailed letters containing essential info, stored in folders
within OE, will I lose these?
