Yahoo on OE6
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
Hi
In the UK, I am trying to set up Outlook Express 6, to handle my
Yahoo
basic web mail. I use BTInternet as my ISP. I have followed the on
screen instructions from yahoo to set up the account as follows:
SMTP:
smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
POP3
pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
In the username I put my firstname.surname and enter the password. I
tick the relevant boxes that I am advised to in the settings.
Once this is all set up it doesnt connect to the outgoing server. So
I
changed it to the btinternet smtp settings, then I get the box to
keep
entering my password which I do. It works on another machine
perfectly
with virginmedia as the ISP but not on this pc running btinternet.
Any ideas?
.
