Leave a copy of messages on the server: Check on both machines;
Tools > Accounts > Mail > [account] > Properties > Advanced > Delivery >
Delete from server after XX days: Check & set as appropriate on only one
machine;
Tools > Accounts > Mail > [account] > Properties > Advanced > Delivery >
Delete from server when deleted from Deleted Items: Check as appropriate on
both machines.
