OK!, I've copied BOTH WAB and .dbx folders. All appears done. I have not
yet deleted the old identity. Can one leave it - or is it wiser to remove
it?
I'm still wondering what went wrong - james

I just 'discovered' how to copy my .dbx folders - was easy. Now, How do I
copy my WAB from old identity to the new one?

Bruce, et al,
Somehow, I've managed to eradicate the 'extra' top entry in my 'Create
New Mail.' So, tomorrow, I'll once again try to copy all my .dbx folders
from old 'defective' identity to this new one.
Is there an easy way to copy {or move} from one identity to another?
I've never done that.
Also, can anyone tell me what most likely went wrong?
Thanks - james

I hardly know how to describe this new problem. This evening while
reading inbox mail in the view window {below the inbox}. All of a
sudden, the scroll bar wouldn't move, the entire window began to shimmy.
Next, the font size seemingly increased two sizes. Arial 8 looks like
12.
I rebooted PC. Functionality basically returned - except, the font size
is out of whack - too big. Some old e-mails look ok, but if I attempt
to forward and add content, my normal Arial 12 looks two sizes bigger.
Two days ago, Bruce Hagen guided me through creating a new identity for
a neighbor's ailing PC {her toolbar had disappeared]. With that
experience fresh in my mind, I attempted to create a second identity
just to see if it returned the font sizes back to normal. It did, BUT,
I now see a strange 'Create New Message' window - it contains an
additional top 'line.' Just above the normal 'To:' line, there's
another one entitled: 'From:' In the line/box is: jc55@roadrunner. com
(pop-server.roadrunner.com). [I can't delete anything within this top
'From' box]
Try as I may, I can't remove this top line. I've never seen this extra
line entry before. If I could remove it, I would probably attempt to
{once again} copy my long .dbx folder group and my WAB from the old
identity - and use the new identity.
Bruce, less than two weeks ago, you guided me through a lengthy process
for reducing a bloated .dbx store so I could migrate it to my new Dell.
I thought I'd finally finished dialing in this new Dell {WinXP Pro}
I don't have a clue what's going on with my OE6. I really need help.
[in fact, this e-mail is looking too 'large']. I've no idea what went
haywire.
James
