Why is IE6.1 unable to save pages that Firfox can?

I normally use IE6.1 on W2K+SP4.
Every so often, when I try to save a web page with IE6.1,
I get a message: "Unable to save to that location". (I don't remember
the message verbatim but that is the essence of the message).
1.
The part "this location" in the message is very odd because when
it happens I can't save it ANYWHERE.
2.
In all of the MANY occasions it happens, if I open the Firefox
browser (at least since version 1.0) with the URL of that
same page I have NEVER a problem with saving the page ANYWHERE.
Any idea about the problem and how to resolve it?
Thanks,
David
