Whenever I launch Outlook Express, I get the following message; 'An unknown
error has occurred'
When I click on 'Details', I get the following message;
'Configuration:
Account: Hotmail
Server: http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
User name: jpracy@xxxxxxxxxxx
Protocol: HTTPMail
Port: 0
Secure(SSL): 0
Code: 80004005
Another message comes up saying; 'Check for new messages on Hotmail; failed"
Then, when I click on Send/Receive in Outlook Express, I get my messages.
What may be the problem?
Something interfering with the protocol?
Is this through a proxy server?
Try activating troubleshooting logging for HTTP
or insert Fiddler in the path to trace the HTTP exchanges
or just trace the raw packets with netcap and then format
the resulting .cap files with Ethereal (aka WireShark).
Good luck
