Re: Outlook Express Generates blank email?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Unfortunately this account does not have a web interface. It is a POP3
account, we're running Symantec AV corporate 8.1 and yes it's current
and up to date. Also, yes this machine is fully patched via Windows
Update.

However, this must be a server side issue. Since it seems to have
automagically fixed itself as of this morning. *shrug* We'll see how
long it lasts.

Thanks,
Michael

Log in to the mail account's web-mail page: Is the message in your inbox
here, too?

Is the account a POP3 account? A Hotmail account?

What anti-virus application are you running? Is your subscription current?
Are its definitions up-to-date?

Is the machine fully patched at Windows Update?

Good question. I suppose the proper way to word it would be that a
blank email appears in my inbox after polling. However, I can click the
send/receive button and every time I click it another email appears
after polling.

OE "generates" a blank email in your inbox or such an email appears in
your
inbox after polling for new messages?

My OE just starting doing this for some odd reason. I'm currently
running XP SP2 with IE 6.0 with of course OE 6.0

Whenever OE connects to the server to check for messages, it generates
a completely blank email that shows up in my inbox. There is no data at
all. No subject, no to or from information, nothing.
