Sounds like you've been leaving messages on the server.

If you ISP offers web access and you can create user folders on the mail
server, one option would be to create a user folder there and move the
old messages out of the Inbox into the user folders.

After reinstalling Outlook Express and restoring my messages (except
for the last 4 days) when I try to get my latest emails the download
consists of all emails dating back to I don't know when (26,000+). How
can I just get the last four days or so? Thanks for any help.
