Unable to configure OE

Need help badly and urgent.

Due to hard disk failure I had the HD replaced and reloaded XP Home , XP
Office and some backups. But I am unable to configure OE to have my Inbox.
There is no Inbox at present, thereby I cannot download any incoming
messages. I've got these Newsgroups with no problems and my previously saved
OE Folders.

For all I've tried it says "This service does not work with Outlook Express"
and It keeps on asking for a pasword that I did not fill in.

Someone please walk me in from the beginning, step by step.
Thanks.
