Hi Arnold,
I suspect that the Nikon (*.JPG) file contains (newer, added) image
information and thumbnail that confuses the (older) OE which results in the
file not being recognized as a (*.jpg) file. This is only a guess, however.
One try would be to re-save the file in a graphics app as either a (*.jpg)
or (*.gif) file and try inserting the new file in a (HTML) OE message.

I have O.E. 6 and Win XP.
I have doxens of photographs made by my (former-) Sony digital camera. I
can import them (not as an attachment, but in the text aerea, by means of
the import-button (correct in English?).
Shortly I got a Nikon D50 camera and I made brillant photo's with it. I
would send some to friends. I was very astonished: a red (small) cross
appears on the spot I want to implement a photograph.
The only difference between a Sony filename and a Nikon filename is *.jpg
and Nikon *.JPG. I changed that, but again I could not import the photograph
in the text. Who can explain that, and how can I change that problem?
Experts under the readers? Thank you so much!
