I tried to add a new identity with a new account, but when I entered the POP3 and the SMTP servers, I mistakenly enter the "@" sign instead of a dot sign. Although OE warned me that the servers were invalid, I was just too fast and saved the settings by mistake. Now when I start OE, it will just hang.
1) How can I completely remove the invalid identity and the invalid account and get back to the default one?
2) Is there any way of fixing the wrong names without deleting the identity?
The PC is running Windows 98SE and IE has been upgraded to IE6 SP1 several months ago. Please help!

1. In each good identity go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Root and write down the {GUID} (the big, long alphanumeric number).
2. Close OE.
3. Go to Start | Run and type
regedit
and press <Enter>.
4. In the left pane navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities and click the plus sign in front of it.
5. You will see a list of {GUID}s. Right click the one you did not write down and select Delete.
