maybe it's the way I'm importing or not importing.

I inserted the cd into my 2nd computer. I opened internet explorer and
expanded the D: Drive to see "My Outlook Express Identity" folder. Just
clicked on it and dragged to C: Drive. It copied to my hard drive.
Inside are three sub-folders, Address Book, Message Store and Registry
Keys. I open each of them and use "select all" to highlight the files.
Then I right-click and then select properties from the pop-up window. On
the Properties window, I remove the check for "read only" and click
"apply". I do this to each in turn. Then, I delete the four registry
keys using regedit, then I open up my "registry keys" folder and
double-click each key in the folder.

Have I imported OE, or is there something else I'm not doing? I figure
I've missed a step or misunderstand the restore/import action, because I
tried the procedure a second time with the same results. No messages, no
address book. But the registry keys that I deleted get restored/imported.
