The only way to do that is to make the laptop a "clone" of the Desktop machine. For how to clone Outlook Express on two machines, see the info at this link:

And, any changes to the Desktop setup, such as adding/deleting local folders, or adding/deleting a newsgroup subscription will require a "Re-cloning" of the laptop. It's not too much work but it can become a PITA trying to keep two machines in sync. Do you really have to do this? Why not just copy the desired messages to a Transfer folder for this purpose? Could anybody please tell me how I can use the same identity in outlook express when my laptop top is connected to my server or when I am off site with it , as at the moment I cannot see any emails I received when connected to the server when I am not in the office & visa versa
