Email notification icon...

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I get the little envelope icon in my taskbar tray whenever I receive a new email. I have message rules set so anything from someone not in my address book goes directly to Deleted Items. However, even when the only email I receive goes to the Deleted Items folder I still receive the notification icon. I would like the icon to appear only when email goes to my Inbox.

How would I do that?
