Yes, it is. Like I said, it will download new messages, but it won't
download earlier messages already in my inbox and sent items folders (on the
uni account), and as such the folders appear empty on OE (unless I get a new
message checked thru OE). And thats what I'm wondering about, how to
download those items, as would happen automatically in a Hotmail account thru
OE.

If you do a Send and Receive, is the 'university' account checked?.
Are you wanting messages from the Webmail inbox only or do you also want to
download the Web sent items?

Do you know if there is a way for me to download the messages off my
university's mail server into OE though? I haven't been able to find the
command myself.
Thanks

OE can check for message every XX minutes.
I am not familiar with the Hotmail settings.
You can create a 'university' folder and make a message rule to move the
incoming 'university' messages to the 'university' folder.

Hi,
Why, yes, it is POP3. So I just checked it and I saw a new message
(junk,
of course) directed from that account in the Local inbox folder.
However, is there a way I can download the messages from my Webmail
account
into OE, and change sychro settings the way I would with my Hotmail
account?
Thanks again,
C.

So what is the account type?
If it is pop3, the account will use the existing local OE folders
(Inbox,
Sent Items, .......).
If you open a new message window, is there a From field?
If you have more than one account setup, there will be a From field.
Do you have more than one account setup?
If OE checks the mail, do you have mail to download?

Hi,
I recently tried setting up the Webmail account for my university on
OE.
My
uni supports it, and gave me the proper settings to use (account
type
and
so
on). I set it up successfully, and its able to check the email in
the
account perfectly.
HOWEVER, the problem is that it didn't create any new Account folder
on
the
folders window (the left hand pane). So, as a result, I can't
view/read/send
mail at all! All I can do is check the account in the Send/Receive
box.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks a million,
Carmen
