To add to Michael's reply, if you are set to read messages in Plain Text, any e-mail you receive that contains HTML, will show the paper clip.

Are you using AVG anti-virus with it set to scan e-mail? That can cause the paperclip to show for all messages.
Disable the e-mail scanning module. It's not necessary to protect you from e-mail viruses. The anti-virus program will still stop the virus if you accidentally open the virus in an e-mail.

"Carlos" <sk238p@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:uyfU4DCMGHA.3556@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAll my email, regardless of whether there's an attachment or not, comes thru with that damn paper clip attachment indicator set in the OE6 column. I spoke of this in another forum and several others there had this problem too, but no one knew why...
Anyone here know why?
Thanks,
