Hi Bruce:
- Sorry, forgot to mention we tried that also. Use Trend Micro.

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant
layer of protection that just eats up CPUs and can cause time-outs,
especially with a large e-mail.

Hi
My father-in-law can't send file, word, or picture attachments with
Outlook Express 6 on an XP machine.
He can send via his Hotmail account, but not through his Sympatico
account. When he sends via his Sympatico account, it goes all the way
through the motion and then just sits there with the bar showing about
99% complete.
We've tried
- talking to Sympatico but they say the problem it isn't on their end
- synchonizing and unsynchonizing
- checking/unchecking the "don't allow attachments" for incoming,
- checking "this server requires authentication
- rebooting.
Any ideas, been Googling all day and just the same answers that we tried.
cheers
tom
