Re: Duplicate incoming emails on second identity (account)

The BT info you supplied is interesting. Compare what is in each Message Source (Ctrl+F3) for a duplicate message and see if they are identical.
My next advice is to do what PA Bear suggested.
You may have a damaged identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages from the old identity and delete it.

Yes we do have separate addresses, switch identities, have separate folders,
etc it comes through the same OE. She set it up as: File | Identities | Addnew identity. The only thing here is that with British Telecom (BT) it started with emails after the @ symbol as; talk21.com, btclick, btinternet, btopenworld, btyahoo and I wonder if all of these separate bits and bobs are comfusing one another (as you can imagine, I'm not really into this too much)

I assume then that it is a Pop3 account and not a Hotmail or IMAP?
What Frank is asking, and now I have to know is how you set this up. Do you
each have separate e-mail addresses? Or is it just a second identity with
the same e-mail address?
Either way, do you share the same instance of OE and its folders? Or do you
switch identities and have your own folders?
Please elaborate exactly how you set it up. Was it File | Identities | Add
new identity, or Tools | Accounts | Add, etc. All the info you can think of
will be helpful.
