Hi Clareybear,
This error can be caused by the use of anti-virus (or spam filtering)
message scan. Messages are first scanned for viruses and then delivered to
Outlook Express. The POP3 Internet protocol was not designed to accommodate
this feature and connection failure with the mail server can, and usually
does, occur at some point. Disable the scan feature. Normal system scan will
still protect a PC.
Try send/receive. It may be necessary to re-enter all account information
even if the entries look okay.
