You got it! Thanks Tim.
My Olympus D-340R camera came with version 1.1 Camedia image software.
I later ordered Camedia Master 4.0, which has better display and editing
features.
Since I upgraded, I have always used the 4.0 version to rotate my pictures
taken with a vertical orientation.
After one rotation operation, the pictures continue to appear as desired
whenever I display them using Camedia 4.0.
HOWEVER, when viewed with version 1.1, the rotated pictures do not appear
rotated.
When those pictures, previously rotated via 4.0, are rotated again using
version 1.1, they display and send via Outlook Express as rotated pictures.
The pictures that have been rotated twice (first by 4.0, then version 1.1)
remain rotated correctly when viewed and displayed by Camedia 4.0. So there
appears to be more than one way that the pictures are "rotated."
Good thing I kept the old version of software around. From now on, I
"rotate" using version 1.1.
