MIE Add/remove programs

I went into add/remove programs to try and repair my MIE 6, but it wasn't
there. Should it be there? Is there a way of checking to see if it needs
repairing?

I occasionally get a message thate MIE has encountered a problem and needs
to close, it then quits. Reopening it always results in the same message.
Rebooting solves the problem, so perhaps its not urgent.
