Actually my guess then would be that Norton trying to quarantine the junk
was what triggered the problem, junk first, problem second if you see what I
mean.

Tom's website has been around for quite some time and is pretty much the
definitive reference for OE information, it's far better than MS could have
produced themselves I reckon.

I have not used email scanning since I discovered AVG causing problems
trying to do it, in fact AVG free doesn't work on "Server" operating systems
so there's actually nothing on this one right now unless I use the dual boot
XP Pro side of it, but since MS made dramatic improvements (like the obvious
one of reading in plain text and treating active content in the "Restricted"
security zone) it doesn't bother me one bit. Spyware is now the major pain
in the neck I think. I don't think being too paranoid helps, but generally
tighter security settings does. :)
