Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Outlook and Outlook Express are different programs.

I have also been having this problem on my 2 computers with Micrsoft OUtlook
-- both run XP, but while one is Office 2000, the other is Office 2003. The
problem is intermittant, but seems to happen more often than not. I have
been working with my ISP, but have gotten nowhere. I have also tried the
reloading of the pop info. in my accounts, but this also have not seemed to
work.I have done a search on Microsoft site for the error message #
(0x000ccc92) and have found the fix that is applicable for Exchange 2000, but
not for AP. I suspect that the problem may be the same, but that Microsoft
has not learned about it or fixed it yet. Thoughts of others?

You could try creating a new account and deleting the old one, establishing
your password anew. The other alternative would be to contact your ISP and
have them manually change the password for you. Sure sounds as if your
password has become corrupted on the new machine.
