Re: Newsgroups no longer downloading

Close Internet Explorer, then click on the link Tim indicated below in his reply (or copy/paste the link into the Start/Run line). It should open directly in Outlook Express. If it does not, post back with any error message you may be getting. Do you also have Outlook (component of MS Office) installed on this computer?

Yes, I access this newsgroup via IE... not OE... I can get to one of my
other much used newsgroups via IE too... but find using OE much easier so
would have liked to get the problem sorted...

OE is suddenly no longer able to download my subscribed newsgroup messages!
HELP... this is the note I get:

420 XOVER 136603902 - 136604100 alt.binaries.fonts

Up until a week or 2 ago I had no problems, then I could not access the
groups at all... I would get "Connected" "Authorizing", then numbers would
appear in brackets and then just disappear... and now I get the above
message
after 1 message of 200 gets downloaded...
Any ideas what has happened? I have tried synchronizing - same "error".....
I do not re-call chaning any settings... any clues??
