Re: clickable email from web no longer works

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Try going to Start | Set program access and defaults and set it to IE and OE and see if that helps.

It appears that the protocol is correctly written for both IE and OE.
I'm sure that the Firefox installation changed something, but I can't seem to find the problem.
I contacted FF support and they denied that the installation could have caused the problems.

I don't see the entire thread here, but see www.oehelp.com/ielnk.aspx

Installing Firefox probably messed up the protocol. So check it and make sure that the full path to IE is listed and not the path with the "~"s in it.

I've now installed the update, but I still have the same problems, plus an additional one. Now OE hangs for 10 seconds or so before opening.

Thank you for the help - but, none of the suggestions have made any
difference.
I have SP2 and the attempted 'repair/update said my software is ok.
I have no sound for video in either CNN or Comedy Central and I have
watched these daily for months without problems - until today.
Yesterday, I tried Firefox, but didn't like it and I uninstalled it.
Could that be the source of the problems?

You are missing an optional update for OE.
