Re: I can't get message bodies, just headers.

I have a similar problem. I frequently get email from one person that seems
to have something missing. His messages always have an attachment named
either message3.txt or message5.txt. He claims to not have any spyware or
other infections and I have scrubbed my system many times.

On that MS link you included http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=312351, in
the instructions ....

3. In Windows Explorer, click to expand the hard disk letter, click to
expand Windows, and then click to expand Temp.
4. Select all of the files, and then on the File menu, click Delete.
5. Click Yes.

.......... when I try to delete all the files in the Temp folder, I managed
to delete quite a few files and folders but 104 still remain. All of them
are zero-byte files and have names like
CS3BCF0513-D2F8-4C5A-B6A8-B7647994BBAD67.tmp.
I cannot delete any of these.

I also wonder if I should have done a Ctrl-A and also deleted the folders. I
think not, so I will go back and restore some of the
folders that got deleted.

LATER: Well,I did find Cookies, History, and the Temporary Internet Files
folders. I wonder if I can do without the Cookies and Temp Internet Files
folders? I think I might want to keep History.

TIA,

Tom
