Turn on the MSOE POP3 log: Tools|Options|Maintenance, and place a check in
the box labeled, "Mail". This will create two files in your message store
folder, among all the .dbx files. Try to fetch your email. Then look for a
file named, "Pop3.log" in your message store folder. Once you have done
this, you need to turn off the logging function; otherwise, your log file
will just grow, and grow, and grow...
When you have captured a log, examine it to see what is happening.
Kerio Personal Firewall 2.1.5 only passes, or blocks packets at the TCP/IP
level, it does not have any higher level functions, such as spam, or virus
filtering. So either you can access your POP3 server, or you can't. If KPF
is blocking MSOE from reaching your POP3 server you will have to create a
rule to permit access to port 119 of your hosting service.
