It's a shortcoming of the web based newsreader. At this time, there is no way to correct the behaviour, but the web interface is a "work in progress" so it might or might not change at some later date. To overcome the shortcomings, Windows has a an pretty good newsreader, called Outlook Express. Why not try using it? See the info at this link for how to create an account with the Microsoft news server.

Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks.

Sorry you have lost me. File/Identity????????
What I am talking about is, when viewing this page:
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx
That's the one under this window I am typing in; the moveable frame divider,
between the message threads and the message, will not move and springs back
to a default position when released. This makes the threads impossuble to
read as the width of the frame is too small. Why is this?
Thanks for replying though

Is this in e-mail and newsgroups?
You may have a damaged identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create
a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages from the
old identity and delete it.
