Yeah, I know about the corrupting of messages but it was not
responding, I don't think I had another option at that time.

I looked at that page, everything looks fine in my config (but it
is working at the moment).

I made a note of this command, which I'll run if/when it happens
again:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll
