Instead of the > that precedes each line in news when replying, there is a heavy vertical line when replying to email; this line does not allow you to
interject responses as the line simply adds on & the interjected response
looks like part of the original email. I have looked at Tools/Options/Send
& found that the > is checked when sending in plain text & I have plain text
set for sending email but it makes no difference I get that line. So far my
only work around is to copy the original/create a new post/paste & then
respond --awkward. I'm sure I'm missing something.
