Re: One message sent - 2 copies arrive

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Tools | Options | Maintenace tab

Press the Store Folders button

Note the location of the message stores (dbx files)

Create a new folder in OE.

Name it Old Sent Items

Move all the messages from the Sent Items to the Old Sent Items folder you
created. Drag and drop works real fast.

Close OE

You will have to make the message stores (dbx files) visible if they are not
already.

Open Windows Explorer

Tools | Folder Options | Views tab

Select "Show hidden files and folders"

Uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types"

Click Apply then OK

The files will now be visible in Windows Explorer.

Navigate to the folder that contains the dbx files you found in the Store
Folders dialog

Delete the Outbox.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files.

Restart OE and two new and empty files will be created
