Re: News Server Won't Connect After Windows Update

Thanks for the response - I restarted after deleting the account but
no help.
I created a new identity and tried both an account which connects OK
and an account which does not - same problem - can not connect to
the account that won't connect.
The message is "unable to connect to the server" (after a
time out). in the details:
Configuration:
Account: cnews.corel.com
Server: cnews.corel.com
Protocol: NNTP
Port: 119
Secure(SSL): 0
Code: 800ccc0e

I have another computer on the same 2-computer network which works
OK. I removed the router and made a direct connection to the
computer that has the problem, but no help. I disabled Zone Alarm
and verified that the Microsoft firewall was still disabled, still
no help.
Definitely something corrupt somewhere - very strange! Any other
thoughts appreciated.
