Re: How do I find Outlook Express

OE is checked in Add/Remove Windows Compenents. I have XP Professional as
the OS.
This is a little more complicated than I presented thinking there is a
simple solution (and perhaps there is). I actually had both programs on the
laptop yesterday, Outlook or my side, OE on my wife's side. We are the only
two users. I wanted to transport the files/addresses from my desktop to the
laptop. I used a reference I had that described how to bring up the info in
the Store Folder in OE on the desktop. I burned this to a DVD and put it in
the laptop. I put the info in a temp folder. OE was on the laptop at this
time. I went to OE and Store Folder on the laptop and clicked change and the
info was then transported into OE. Looked just like the desktop.
But the Store folder now showed the "temp" location for the data and not
the long folder that is in Identities, etc. I couldn't figure out how to get
store folder back to the default location. I figured I could simply go to
System Restore and bring the laptop back to where it was before i put in the
info and then redo or modify the process a second time. So this was done.
Now I cannot find Outlook Express. Microsoft Outlook is on both sides now.
Where did OE go? It is listed and checked in windows components as
mentioned above. Appreciate your help
