For the first issue, right click on the NG name in the folder list and go to Properties | Local File and hit the reset button followed by the compact button. After you do that, then go to Tools | Options | Read and uncheck the option to download xxx headers at a time. Then go back to the NG and refresh it and see if that gets the messages then.
For the second, you'd have to contact the adminstrator of the newsserver you are subscribed to. Probably prodigy.net from your address.

About a month and a half ago, a news group that I subscribe to just stopped. What's weird is that I can send a test message and I see that, but only that. I've had a few people tell me the news group is going strong. I just don't see the postings at all.
I did not change any settings, so that's not it.
Also, how do we get a news group onto the list. I've seen some mentioned in other groups but it's not here. Who, or where, do I email such a request?
