The reason I was told "localhost" (repeatedly, I might add), is that the spam
filter engine goes out to Yahoo and gets my mail, and scans it. Then it puts
it into folders such as "looks good", "likely spam" etc - and then OE is
supposed to go get it from that "looks good" folder, NOT the ISP. This is how
it worked with the InboxCop application and there were no issues. So it's
more of a proxy server type thing. I do send email directly to the ISP, which
is working fine.
If (hopefully when) I get an answer, I'll post it.
