Lock-Up

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I am using Win XP Home/SP2. I have no virus checkers running. Every 8-12 min
XP will lock up requiring a manual re-boot - Alt-Ctrl-Del does nothing. The
mouse pointer freezes on-screen at that point and it is a total lockup. I
have ran AdWare, Spybot, SpySearch, deleted all cookies, emptied all Temp
folders and Recycle Bin. Computer is cool to touch as is exhausted air from
fan (it has 6 fans). Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
