Identity crisis

I am setting up a new identity and I need both of them to share the same
Address Book.

In my Main Identity Address Book, I show two address books. One is called
Shared Contacts and the other is called Main Identity Contacts. The Main
has 350 addresses and the Shared has 281. Unfortunately they are not exactly
the same. I assume it usually defaults to the Main Contact list. The name I
was trying to locate was located in the Main but not in the Shared. I have
no idea how the Shared list was generated with 281 names but they are
obviously familiar names.

But, when I switch to the other identity, I show zero names in that contact
list and the same 281 in the Shared Contacts. So, although I am sharing an
address book with both identities, it's not the one I need.

Any suggestions will be helpful.
