Re: Newsgroups with large number of posts hangs OE



The problem with this approach is that one may miss some posts/files because
you're not downloading everything that's listed. when you only download
1000 or less headers, it doesn't seem to list a cross-section of posts by
date or even subject. So if you d/l only part of the headers, you may be
missing something you want to d/l.

If there was a way to only download certain headers, you could download ALL
of the headers, then pick out the things you wanna d/l, erase the headers
and tell it only to d/l the headers you're interested in. Then you could
d/l the files.....just a thought.
