How to archive Sent Items?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I use only Outlook Express (OE) for emails.
When I receive emails, I archive those under my personal folder on hard
disk.
I have tons of current and old sent emails. I want to preserve and archive
the "Sent Items" under my personal folder, not under Outlook Express folder.
That would allow me easy to retrieve the old emails. I could not figure
out how to copy those sent emails under OE into other hard drive folder.
Please advise me. Craig.
